The Barn Theatre of Montville Presents "Deathtrap"

originally published: 08/25/2016
(MONTVILLE, NJ) -- The Barn Theatre of Montville, New Jersey presents "Deathtrap" from September 9 to October 1. In the play, Sidney Bruhl, a successful writer of Broadway thrillers, is struggling to overcome a "dry" spell which has resulted in a string of failures and a shortage of funds. A possible break in his fortunes occurs when he receives a script from a student in the seminar he has been conducting at a nearby college—a thriller which Sidney recognizes immediately as a potential Broadway hit.

Sidney's plan, which he devises with his wife's help, is to offer collaboration to the student, an idea which the younger man quickly accepts. Thereafter suspense mounts steadily as the plot begins to twist and turn with devilish cleverness, and with such an abundance of thrills and laughter, that audiences will be held enthralled until the final, startling moments of the play.

The cast of "Deathtrap" features: Scott Nagle of West Nyack NY, Nick Wolf of Bloomfield NJ, Bridget Burke-Weiss of Boonton NJ, Larry Wilbur of Ramsey NJ, and Kristin-Leigh Nicholson of Hillburn NY.

Performances will be on September 9, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 & October 1 at 8pm and September 10, 11, 18, 25 at 2 pm. Tickets are $20.

The Barn Theatre is located on Skyline Drive in Montville, NJ, just minutes off Exit 47 from Route 287. For reservations, more information or directions, call The Barn Theatre Box Office at (973) 334of9320, or visit The Barn Theatre on the web at www.barntheatre.org
