(ASBURY PARK, NJ) — The Vogel Summer Concert Series presented by Axelrod Performing Arts Center concludes with Broadway stars and American Idol alum Ace Young and Diana DeGarmo in concert at the Arthur Pryor Bandshell on the Asbury Park Boardwalk on Wednesday, September 22, and on the Roof Deck at Bell Works in Holmdel on Thursday, September 23. Ace and Diana have put together a brand-new show for New Jersey, backed by their incredible five-piece band!
Having performed at the Axelrod as Radames in Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida, Ace Young returns to the Jersey Shore with his wife Diana DeGarmo. Both Ace and Diana are alums of American Idol and have both starred on Broadway. Ace debuted on Broadway as Kenickie in the revival of Grease and then took the role of Danny Zuko on the National Tour. He also played Berger in the Broadway revival of Hair. Diana debuted on Broadway in Hairspray and also appeared in Back to Bacharach and David. She appeared in National Tours of Brooklyn the Musical, 9 to 5 and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, starring opposite Ace.
The show on Wednesday, September 22 will be held outdoors at the Arthur Pryor Bandshell in Asbury Park, NJ with performances at 5:30pm and 8:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. Rain date TBD. A full bar is available at the Arthur Pryor Bandshell, but food is not available.
The show on Thursday, September 23 will be held on the outdoor deck at BellWorks in Holmdel, NJ with performances at 5:30pm and 8:00pm. Tickets are available for purchase online. Shows will be moved inside in the event of rain. A full bar and menu is available at Bar Bella and Bell Market at Bell Works.
Tickets start at $45 for either venue.
Axelrod Performing Arts Center is located at 100 Grant Avenue in Deal Park, New Jersey.
