Shakespeare Theatre Of NJ Presents Something Merry This Way Comes

(MADISON, NJ) --The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey will present the sixth annual Something Merry This Way Comes – a one-night-only special holiday event – on Monday, December 14 at 7:30 p.m.  The performance celebrates the holiday season and will be held at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Ave. in Madison.  Tickets are $38 and can be purchased online at www.ShakespeareNJ.org or by phone by calling the Box Office at 973-408-5600.

Director of Education and Resident Director Brian Crowe will direct this year’s production. “This year's Something Merry This Way Comes will be a delightful new collection of stories, poems and songs celebrating the magic of the season; a fun time for the whole family,” said Crowe. “With tales of that ‘jolly old elf’, touching stories that look to our better natures, and witty examinations of how we celebrate family and the holidays, our acclaimed performers are sure to provide a cure for any ‘bah humbuggers’ out there.” Something Merry is appropriate for all ages, and provides a refreshing antidote to the commercial glitz and blitz that invades our lives each year at holiday time.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey closes its 2015 Main Stage season with The Merry Wives of Windsor by William Shakespearedirected by Artistic Director Bonnie J. Monte. Performances begin Wednesday, December 2nd at the F.M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue (at Lancaster Road) in Madison. Individual tickets can be purchased by calling the Box Office at 973-408-5600 or by visiting ShakespeareNJ.org.

One of the leading Shakespeare theatres in the nation, serving 100,000 adults and children annually, The Shakespeare Theatre is New Jersey’s largest professional theatre company dedicated solely to Shakespeare’s canon and other world classics. Through its distinguished productions and education programs, the company strives to illuminate the universal and lasting relevance of the classics for contemporary audiences.
