Senses Fail Releases 2 Christmas Covers

originally published: 11/25/2020

Senses Fail is spreading holiday cheer as best as possible this year with "Christmas Has Been Canceled Due to Lack of Hustle", which includes two Christmas covers that are available to stream today through Pure Noise Records. Fans can hear "I Wish It Was Christmas Today" and "Donde Esta Santa Clause" within this article.

"My step father have been telling me for 20 years that the only way to make it in the music industry is to do Christmas covers," says vocalist Buddy Nielsen. "He would point out Paul McCartney, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra and WAM as prime examples of musicians who did them right. He wasn’t wrong but I wasn’t in any rush. Christmas songs are best sung in July and when it comes time for them, I’m usually burnt out, however, this year, there wasn’t much to sing about or celebrate so I reserved my carols for these songs. I chose the two greatest Christmas songs that few know and even fewer cover. I was once told that if you build it they will come, I have built it and I hope you come. Happy Holidays and fuck 2020."

The band recently teamed up for another special holiday release with Saves The Day for "Through Being Ghoul" – a split of Misfits covers released just before Halloween. The split had a limited-edition vinyl pressing, which sold out! Fans can stream the songs on Spotify, iTunes or through YouTube.

Senses Fail have spent the last two years continuing to tour, including a stop at Riot Fest and an Australian run in 2019 in support of their seventh album If There Is Light, It Will Find You. On top of reissuing their debut EP From the Depths of Dreams last year with Pure Noise Records, the band has been preparing for the release of a new full-length.

Senses Fail is Buddy Nielsen (Vocals), Gavin Caswell (Guitar), Greg Styliades (Bass), Steve Carey (Drums) and Jason Milbank (Guitar).
