Scott Weiland Tribute and Benefit

Scott Weiland Tribute and Benefit(TEANECK, NJ) -- Scott Weiland (vocalist for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver) battled many demons before ultimately dying of an accidental overdose last December. In an effort to celabrate his influencial musical legacy and hopefully prevent others from the same fate,  a Scott Weiland tribute show will take place on Thursday, March 10 at 7:30pm at MexiCali Live to benefit NCADD-NJ and Road Recovery. Both non-profit organizations offer aid with prevention and recovery from addiction. 

Silvergun Superman - Stone Temple Pilots Tribute -- Four veterans of the Tri-State area music scene excelling in spanning the challenging repertoire of one of rock music’s greatest bands since 2012. From folk and acoustic elements, to the blistering hard rock STP is best known for, they capture the indelible sound and spirit of the Stone Temple Pilots live experience

The Lounge Creeps is a one-shot multimember cooperations brought together specially for this event. It includes musicians and singers from various area bands working together to bring about a unique once in a lifetime performance of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver favorites. Special thanks to: Mercury Morning, John Rango, Vincent LaRussa, Gino Scelza, Christian Dryden (The Ritualists), John Mosco, Kevin Standler, Michael Morales and Jeffrey Lopez.

NCADD-NJ works in partnership with and on behalf of individuals, families, and communities affected by alcoholism and drug dependence to promote recovery through excellence in prevention and treatment initiatives. Since 2008, NCADD-NJ has run a statewide advocacy program for people in recovery, family members, and supporters for addiction solutions. visit http://www.roadrecovery.org

Road Recovery is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization established in New York City in 1998.  The organization is dedicated to helping young people battle addiction and other adversities by harnessing the influence of entertainment industry professionals who have confronted similar crises and now wish to share their experience, resources and knowledge. With support from the mental health field, ROAD RECOVERY provides hands-on mentorship training, educational/performance workshops, peer-support networking, and “all access” to real-life opportunities by collaborating with young people to create and present live-concert events. ROAD RECOVERY empowers young people of all backgrounds to face their struggles and helps them develop comprehensive life skills, guided by professionals and supported by a community of like-minded peers. visit http://www.ncaddnj.org/
