RVCC Theatre Celebrates Pop Divas

(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg will present Alice Tan Ridley in R-E-S-P-E-C-T: A Show Celebrating the Grand Divas of Pop! on Thursday, February 18, at noon and 7:00pm. With a dazzling voice reminiscent of Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston, Alice Tan Ridley dazzles audiences with an electrifying performance featuring hits by some of the world's most famous divas. As the judges said on America's Got Talent of the artist, Alice Tan Ridley is "the embodiment of soul!"

Whether performing on New York City subway platforms or for TV audiences in Los Angeles, Ridley presents a warmth and passion that sets her aside from the other great divas. If you are looking for a great show of Motown and soul, look no further than the great Alice Tan Ridley – truly "the Goddess of Soul.”

The New York Post has written of Ridley that she “wowed judges and audience alike with her stellar performance of the Etta James classic, 'At Last.'”

Tickets cost $10 for the noon performance and $25 for the 7 p.m. show. All seating is general admission. The noon performance is set in on-stage theatre-style seating and is approximately one hour in length. Audience members are invited to pre-order a box lunch for $5 and dine at the Theatre before the noon show. The evening show, set in a relaxed, on-stage cabaret setting, includes refreshments and is approximately two hours long.

The performances are part of the Theatre’s popular Club28 series. To purchase tickets or for more information, call the Box Office, 908-725-3420, or order online at www.rvccArts.org. Senior citizen, student and group discounts are also available for most performances.
