originally published: 12/01/2015

RVCC Arts Presents Robin Spielberg(BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- One of America's most beloved pianist/composers, Robin Spielberg is a recording artist well known for her expressive, lyrical performances. Her albums bring traditional, original and popular music to life in piano solos and piano-based ensembles. She will perform a holiday concert at the Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg on Thursday, December 17, with performances at noon and 7 p.m. The concerts are part of the Theatre's popular Club28 series.

A Steinway Artist, Spielberg has been winning the hearts of listeners around the world with her compelling melodies and sensitive piano technique. Since debuting her first work of original solos for piano, Spielberg has sold one million recordings of her artistry.

HippoPress has written of the performer: "From the moment she walks out on stage, until the last note gently caresses the room, Spielberg casts a spell on her audience that is palpable, visceral and spiritual."

An author and frequent lecturer on the topic of the medical benefits of music, Spielberg is also a celebrity artist-spokesperson for the American Music Therapy Association. In conjunction with her RVCC concert appearances, Spielberg will reach out to the local community and spread holiday cheer by performing for residents of two local assisted living facilities, the Avalon at Bridgewater and Independence Manor in Flemington.

Tickets cost $10 for the noon performance and $25 for the 7 p.m. show. All seating is general admission. The noon performance is set in on-stage theatre-style seating and is approximately one hour in length. The evening show, set in a relaxed, on-stage cabaret setting, includes refreshments and is approximately two hours long.
