Remember Jones Brings R. Kelly's "Trapped In The Closet" to life tonight

Remember Jones Brings R. Kelly's "Trapped In The Closet" to life tonight(LAKEWOOD, NJ) -- Looking for something new to do this Halloween? Remember Jones has the answer.  For the first time ever, R. Kelly's "Trapped In The Closet" will be presented live with a 20-piece orchestra.  The show takes place tonight (October 31) at The Strand in Lakewood.  Doors are at 7:30pm and the show begins at 8:00pm.  Tickets are $20.

Written and produced by pop/R&B sensation R. Kelly, the series tells a story of a one-night-stand which sets off a chain of events, gradually revealing a greater web of lies, sex, and deceit. It has spawned record and DVD releases, Internet success, and countless pop-culture parodies. Remember Jones and company will present the first 12 chapters, note for note, in their entirety with an orchestra of 20. The finale will have over 40 performers on stage celebrating the cult phenomenon.

Putting big shows together is nothing new for Remember Jones, who was the driving force behind "Back to Black" which ran through the entire Amy Winehouse album with a 25-piece orchestra and the recent "Mad Dogs & Englishmen" show that celebrated Joe Cocker's legendary live album with a 20-piece band.  The success of shows like this led Anthony D'Amato (aka Remember Jones) to be named the Producing Artistic Director of the Strand.  His goal is to turn the spotlight on the venue and its new GALLERY with creative nights like "Trapped In the Closet."  On Novemember 27, Remember Jones introduce another new production, this one based on the NOW That's What I Call Music compilation album.

Immediately following the conclusion of "Trapped In The Closet", a costume contest dance party and upcoming Strand Theater giveaways will celebrate the opening of GALLERY, a new live music and arts venue inside the Strand.  Mad Feather Group, The Shady Street Show Band, Chris Rockwell, and Remember Jones + The Emancipation Congregation will perform. Admission to the after party is $5.  There will be a full cash bar available.

The Strand Theater is located at 400 Clifton Avenue in Lakewood, NJ.  For more information visit http://www.strand.org.
