(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Alternative pop band Plaid Brixx are set to support pop/rock outfit We The Kings on their upcoming 10-Year Anniversary Tour. Kicking off in February, Plaid Brixx will join the band on a 32-date run, including three dates in the tri-state area. The band will be at The Foundry at The Fillmore in Philadelphia on February 20; House of Independents in Asbury Park on February 22; and PlayStation Theater in New York City on February 24.
"We are so excited to be touring with We The Kings!" frontman Chris Duggan remarked about the announcement, "We have been fans for a long time and are so grateful they chose us for their 10th Anniversary Tour." Plaid Brixx are no strangers to screaming crowds, having played several major festivals including SXSW, CMJ, Fashion Meets Music Festival, Musikfest, The New Albany Classic - alongside major acts like Kelsea Ballerini, Dove Cameron, Before You Exit and Timeflies! After releasing their 2016 self-titled EP and three buzzing videos from the project, "Since You Came", "The Greener Side" and "Don't Look Down" , the band is eager to hit the road alongside We The Kings. "We Look forward to seeing all of our fans on the road!"
The show at House of Independents in Asbury Park includes We The Kings, Plaid Brixx, Astro Lasso, Modern Chemistry, and Cute Is What We Aim For. Tickets range from $25 to $79. Doors are at 7:00pm and showtime is 8:00pm.
Plaid Brixx is comprised of founder Chris Duggan (vocals & guitar), Mark LeRose (drums) and Jared Sawaya (bass). Following the success of their debut project, 2014's Chemistry, Plaid Brixx have received praise from Buzzfeed, Diffuser, Guitar World, ARTISTDirect, PureVolume and more, including a nomination for Best Rock EP of 2014 by the Independent Music Association. Their latest EP was called "the next progression of the Plaid Brixx Sound," by frontman Chris Duggan, and kept on "constant replay!" by Twist Magazine.
