originally published: 09/08/2018

(LINCROFT, NJ) -- Artists, arts entrepreneurs, creative businesses, nonprofit arts organizations, and all those interested in how the arts contribute to our community are invited to join Monmouth Arts at the September Networking Meeting at Monmouth Museum, located on the campus of Brookdale Community College, on Thursday, September 20th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The free event, entitled “A Night at the Museum,” showcases Monmouth Arts' programs and services, and includes networking, speakers, and more.

In addition, the ArtHelps Local Arts Grant Awards for Fiscal Year 2019, through a partnership with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, will be announced. These competitive grants are awarded to local nonprofit arts organizations that provide more than 2,600 high quality art events throughout Monmouth County each year, serving more than 700,000 people. Previous grant recipients include the Guild of Creative Art, Phoenix Productions, Garden State Film Festival, and the Jazz Arts Project.

Speakers for the evening include Catherine Clark, Arts & Fund Development Manager for Monmouth Museum; Eileen Chapman, Director of the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music at Monmouth University; and Sara Karlen Lacombe, owner of Minding the Gap Coaching.

Attendees will also be able to view the museum’s current exhibit, “Dialogues in Printmaking,” featuring works from 58 international printmakers who represent a wide array of contemporary and traditional printmaking processes and techniques. The exhibit has traveled through Peru, South Korea, Germany, and will continue onto New York after it completes its stay at Monmouth Museum on November 4.

The Networking Meeting is free and open to the public. Light fare will be available.
