(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Mike + The Mechanics will perform on Friday, April 21 at 7:30pm at the House of Independents in Asbury Park, NJ for a live episode of the public television live music series Front and Center. The concert is part of the 2017 Asbury Park Music & Film Festival. Tickets start at $35 and are available at www.apmff.com and at the Stone Pony box office.
Mike + The Mechanics was formed in 1985 to complement Genesis, which Mike Rutherford was a founding member of. Mike + The Mechanics will release their ninth album, Let Me Fly, on April 7 via BMG. The current band lineup includes Rutherford (guitar/bass), Luke Juby (keyboards), Gary Wallis (drums), Anthony Drennan (guitar), plus vocalists Andrew Roachford and Tim Howar.
Mike Rutherford is a member of the Grammy Award-winning band Genesis and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
Other scheduled performances at the Festival include Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul (April 22 at the Paramount Theatre), the Upstage All-Star Jam (April 21 at the Paramount Theatre) Robert Randolph and the Family Band with opening performance by the Matt O’ Ree Band (April 21at the Stone Pony), Preservation Hall Jazz Band (April 23 at the Paramount Theatre) and more.

Westminster Conservatory of Music observes Asian and Pacific American Heritage Month with May 19 faculty recital
(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The Westminster Conservatory of Music will present the concert, Celebrating Asian and Pacific American (APA) Heritage Month on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 7:30pm.
