(MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Maplewood Strollers community theater continues its 88th season with a production of Lucille Fletcher’s Night Watch over the next two weekends in March (March 13-15; March 20-21) at Burgdorff Center For The Performing Arts. Reminiscent of such film noir classics as Gaslight and Alfred Hitchcock’s Rear Window, this stylish mystery is a psychological thrill ride.
During a sleepless night, a troubled woman gazes out the window of her Manhattan apartment and sees a dead man in the building across the way… or does she? With twists and turns and ulterior motives galore, Night Watch leads audiences to ask themselves the question: If no one believes you, did it really happen?
A mid-century Broadway smash hit, this stylish and ingeniously devised thriller builds steadily in menace and suspense until the final, heart-stopping moment of revelation. The production is directed by Cynthia S. Ross.
Performances take place Friday, March 13 and 20 and Saturday, March 14 and 21 at 8:00 pm; and Sunday, March 15 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are available for purchase online.
Burgdorff Center For The Performing Arts is located at 10 Durand Road in Maplewood, New Jersey.
