Makin Waves Song of the Week: "Seasick" by Turnpike Gates

Turnpike Gates have just released a five-song EP, “City In Heat,” produced by The Bouncing Souls’ Pete Steinkopf. The Jersey City-based act has treated us to a video for the first single, the Killers-meets-Social Distortion-like “Seasick,” which can be viewed below.

Turnpike Gates is Philadelphia-bred songwriter Ryan Smith. For City In Heat, Ryan has enlisted a talented cast of musicians that in addition to Pete on guitar includes backing vocalists Jared Hart (Mercy Union, The Scandals) and Zak Ferentz (Felons), drummer Jimmy Walsh (Rest Easy, Shook Ones), and cellist-violinist Jenn Fantaccione (The Bouncing Souls, The Front Bottoms).

City In Heat” on New York City-based Generation Pressed Records is a follow-up to a self-released self-titled debut. For more about Turnpike Gates, visit https://linktr.ee/turnpikegates.
