(RAHWAY, NJ) — Singer-songwriter Louise Goffin will perform at Union County Performing Arts Center, 1601 Irving Street, Rahway, Friday, April 17 at 8 p.m. The concert is part of the ongoing Split Level Concert Series highlighting critically acclaimed singer-songwriters in a uniquely intimate setting.
Daughter of legendary songwriters Carole King and Gerry Goffin, Louise Goffin is a multi-talented, modern-day renaissance musician: singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, recording artist and record producer of a Grammy-nominated record for mom Carole King, A Holiday Carole. Louise has toured the world on electric guitar with Tears For Fears and played banjo with Bryan Ferry. For many who grew up with The Gilmore Girls hit TV show, Louise’s voice can be heard with Carole’s on the duet in the opening theme “Where You Lead”.
Louise has released seven solo albums of her own. Her most recent studio recording, Appleonfire, features Jakob Dylan on the opening track “Take A Giant Step” and Joseph Arthur on a duet with Louise for “If I’m Late”. The new EP boasts original songs including a stunning, previously unreleased co-write with her father, Gerry Goffin, titled “I’m Not Rich But I’m Not Poor”.
Percussionist Butch Norton will accompany Louise at this show. This very special performance will take place on UCPAC’s Main Stage, with the audience seated on the stage with the performers.
Upcoming Split Level Concerts include
Alyssa Bonagura and Jesse & Noah at UCPAC Loft on April 25,
