London's PINK CIGAR Comes to The Saint

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Direct from London comes Pink Cigar for their first ever US performances. They will be hitting the tri-state area at the end of November with one show in New Jersey at The Saint in Asbury Park on Monday, November 30th. Joining them on the bill will be Wolfasaurus Rex, The Mighty Nothings, and special guests. Admission is $5.

Hailed as "The Next Best Thing In Rock" by The Clash's Mick Jones, and “the most exciting young band to emerge from the current crop of UK rock n' roll talent” by Metal Talk, Pink Cigar is an electrifying mix of rock, punk & glam! Comprising of four charismatic individuals whose mission is to bring rock back to mainstream for their generation, Pink Cigar stay true to the spirit of legendary rock & roll artists, while incorporating their own personal style, youthful approach, exhilarating sound & unique lyrics. Following the success of their debut album We're Gonna Get You Out Of Here featuring dynamic hit singles Generation X & Lady Killer, Pink Cigar's highly anticipated second EP, recorded in Mick Jones’ London studio, is nearing release date.

Fronted by the electrifying Whiplash Jackson, with guitarist Edd Whyte, bassist Sam Rutland, and drummer Sid Mayall, the blues-infused sounds of this young, energetic rock & roll band with a punk mentality is a breath of fresh air, and is taking everyone by storm. With over 1000 shows under their belt, Pink Cigar continue to tour extensively throughout their native UK and Europe, giving fans a unique and unforgettable experience every time! And now, by demand, they are finally bringing their shows to America with several NY/NJ area performances. This tour will feature new material from their upcoming EP, along with fan favorites from the first album.

The Saint is located at 601 Main Street in Asbury Park, NJ. Visit the venue’s website for more information: http://www.thesaintnj.com/

The Newton Theatre presents Jim Messina

(NEWTON, NJ) -- Few musical artists résumés list membership in a band inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame; fewer still can lay claim to being a founding member of the seminal band credited with creating Country Rock; and only one artist can include all the above in addition to being one half of the most successful duos of the 1970s: Jim Messina. He's been a member of Buffalo Springfield and would go on to form the band Poco and then Loggins & Messina with Kenny Loggins.
