This spring, God takes the form of four-time Emmy® and Golden Globe® Award winner Jim Parsons (star of "The Big Bang Theory" and Harvey) in AN ACT OF GOD, a 90-minute comedy where the Almighty and His devoted angels answer some of the deepest questions that have plagued mankind since Creation. He's finally arrived to set the record straight... and He's not holding back!
Based on the critically acclaimed book The Last Testament: A Memoir by God, this new play was written by 13-time Emmy Award winner David Javerbaum ("The Daily Show with Jon Stewart") and directed by two-time Tony Award® winner Joe Mantello (Wicked). Thou shalt run—not walk—to this strictly limited engagement beginning May 5th at Studio 54 on Broadway.
"AN ACT OF GOD is a miraculously funny trip through God's contemporary woes, replete with Bible-worthy stage effects, an acerbically witty God as master of ceremonies, and an organized narrative that elevates the evening beyond being just ‘a one-God show with two angels.'" – Entertainment Weekly
Previews for AN ACT OF GOD begin May 5 and the show opens on May 28. It will run for 13 weeks at Studio 54 (254 West 54th Street) in New York City. For more information visit www.anactofgod.com
