Holmdel Theatre Company presents William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing

(HOLMDEL, NJ) -- Holmdel Theatre Company presents William Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing from April 13-28. In the play, a group of soldiers return from the war. The world-weary Benedick and his friend Claudio find themselves reacquainted with Beatrice and Hero. As memories of conflict give way to a life of parties and masked balls, Claudio and Hero fall madly, deeply in love, while Benedick and Beatrice reignite their own altogether more combative courtship. The production is directed by Tom Frascatore and produced by Heidi Bonney and Laurie Devino.

Much Ado About Nothing is Shakespeare's most beloved romantic comedy, Much Ado About Nothing boasts one of Shakespeare's most delightful heroines, most dancing wordplay, and the endearing spectacle of intellectual and social self-importance bested by the desire to love and be loved in return.

The cast includes Tess Ammerman (Beatrice), James Weeks* (Benedick), Ed Faver (Leonato), Elizabeth Colagrande (Hero), Shan Williams (Claudio), Andrew Gordon (Don Pedro), Rupert Ravens (Dogberry), Peter Newes (Don John), Howard Smith (Friar Francis), Mark Zebro (Borachio), Jessica Freeland (Margaret), Mike Sockol (Antonio), Joseph Walter (Conrade), Julia Lupi (Ursula), Bella Ashton (Messenger/Balthazar/Watch), Sami DeSocio (Sexton), and Laurie Devino (Verges).   *appears courtesy of Actors’ Equity Association
