Holmdel Theatre Company presents Twelfth Night (Or What You Will) by William Shakespeare at the Duncan Smith Theater in Holmdel. The play is Shakespeare's classic tale of cross-dressing twins, dancing dukes, and a dashing pair of yellow tights, takes the audience on a trip to the mythical kingdom of Illyria, reimagined as a 1930s country club. In the household of Olivia, two campaigns are being quietly waged one by the lovesick lord Orsino against the heart of the indifferent Olivia; the other by an alliance of servants and hangers-on against the high-handedness of her steward, the pompous Malvolio. When Orsino engages the cross-dressed Viola to plead with Olivia on his behalf, a bittersweet chain of events follows.
Directed by Tom Frascatore, the cast includes Brian Craig, Michael Kroll, Myles Linzy, Caitlyn Manning, Alicia Moeller, Olivia Mullen, Dave Murray, Christopher O'Neill, Dan Peterson, Mark Piltz, Brett Sabo, Tarantino Smith*, Wesley Swan, and Casey Woods. * Appearing courtesy of Actors' Equity Association.
Performances will be held July 24, 25, 31, August 1, 7, 8 @ 8pm with Matinées on July 26 and Aug 2 @ 2pm. Ticket prices are: Students $12, Seniors $17, Adult $22.
