(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Chris Rockwell & The Stickball Social Club's release party for their debut record Home Team Animals. Set to take place on Sunday October 12th 2014 at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, this event will feature the new record played in its entirety, accompanied with performances by Deff-Ray, Paris Under Fire, The Hive Mind, and special guest J. Sales of Moon Motel. This is an all ages event, and the doors open at 6:00pm.
Home Team Animals was written, performed, recorded, and mixed by Chris Rockwell & The Stickball Social Club, at bass player Jason Portizo's own Ugly Door Studio in Toms River, NJ. The band is comprised of Zach Bednarek on guitar, Andrew Oliva on drums, Jason Portizo on bass, Sean D'Antoni on trumpet, and Chris Rockwell on vocals. On creating their first record together, Sean D'Antoni remarks, "It's an incredible experience working with this combination of talented and awesome people who all share the same vision and high level of passion."
The band performed their first single off the record, "Beach House," at Dark City's summer kickoff event in May. The video can be seen here.
