
(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Crossroads Theatre Company presents Black Nativity, Langston Hughes’ retelling of the classic Nativity story with a black cast, featuring traditional Christmas carols and original music in gospel style. The production runs select dates from December 9-18.
Ritual, African dance and storytelling infuse the staging to depict the story of Mary and the birth of Jesus. Based on the Gospel of St. Luke, combined with the poetry of Langston Hughes, this song-play touches a special chord in the hearts of all.
Produced in association with Denman Entertainment Group and Obediah Productions, the production runs December 9-18 at Crossroads Theatre Company, 7 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ.
