Get ready as “Cousin Brucie” — Bruce Morrow, prominent DJ of SiriusXM Radio — takes his listeners on a musical journey down memory lane in a concert on Saturday evening, June 24, 2017 at the State Fair Meadowlands in East Rutherford, NJ!
Featuring classic music and performances from artists who entertained audiences at NJ’s Palisades Amusement Park back in the ‘60s, this nostalgic concert will feature Felix Cavaliere, The 1910 Fruitgum Company, Billy J. Kramer, The Capris, and The Quotations.
Felix Cavaliere is most noted for being a member of the 60’s group The Young Rascals where he wrote and sang such iconic 60’s tunes as “It’s a Beautiful Morning,” “Groovin’,” “How Can I Be Sure,” and “People Got to Be Free.”
For his — and co-writer Eddie Brigati’s — efforts, Cavaliere and his songwriting partner were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2009.
Also joining in on this musical adventure will be one of the top bubblegum bands of all time, New Jersey’s own 1910 Fruitgum Company. They are best known for such 60’s pop tunes as “123 Red Light,” “Indian Giver,” and “Simon Says,” which burst onto the charts in 1967 and sold over three and a half million copies!
The group has performed for nearly 50-years, touring with such famed acts as Mark Lindsay of Paul Revere and the Raiders, Sly and the Family Stone, The Vogues, The Buckinghams, and many more.
Rounding out the show will be Billy J. Kramer (“Bad to Me”), The Capris (“There’s a Moon Out Tonight), and The Quotations (“Imagination”).
