coLAB Arts Presents "Our Common Thread"

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- coLAB Arts presents "Our Common Thread" on Saturday, April 6 at 7:00pm in the Loree Dance Theater. This is an annual performance event presented by coLAB Arts and the First Reformed Church, to support New Brunswick's Interfaith Mens' Rotating Shelter. The event features theater, choral performance, and a panel discussion about homelessness and poverty in New Brunswick. 

For this year's performance, coLAB Arts will be presenting monologue selections from 37 Voices, based on interviews with local individuals who find themselves within the ALICE threshold - those who make too much money to qualify for federal assistance, but are unable to save agains the high cost of living in New Jersey. Choral performance will feature the First Reformed Church Choir, under the musical direction of Benjamin Berman.

37 Voices project partners include Free Press of New Jersey, United Way of Northern New Jersey, Oral History & Folklife Research, New Jersey Policy Perspective, Newest Americans, Feeding New Brunswick Network, Anti-Poverty Network, Center for Cooperative Media, and NJ Spark.

Jersey Artist Registry presents works by over 30 artists in exhibit at Oyster Point Hotel

(RED BANK, NJ) -- There are over 50 works by 31 artists in the Jersey Artist Registry art exhibition at The Oyster Point Hotel. The exhibit runs from May 8 through June 29, 2026, and includes a wide range of styles and media, from Brian Hallas' surreal photography to Gary Steven Groves' hard-edged geometry to Jodi DiLiberto's mystical fractals.
