Circle Players To Present "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead"

(PISCATAWAY, NJ) -- Circle Players presents Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard, weekends from March 9 to March 25. A modern dramatic masterpiece that tells the tale of Hamlet from the worm’s-eye view of the bewildered minor characters in Shakespeare’s play. In Stoppard’s best-known work, this Shakespearean Laurel and Hardy finally get a chance to take the lead role, but in a world where echoes of Waiting for Godot resound, and reality and illusion intermix.

The play will be directed by Mikaela Kafka of Hoboken and produced by John Dowgin of Spotswood and JD Robinson of Highland Park.  It will be stage managed by Jennifer Robinson of Highland Park.  The cast includes Jake Burbage of Jersey City, Michael Stratton of Union City, Jennifer Wewers of Hillsborough, JD Robinson of Highland Park, Heidi Carter Hart of Maplewood, David Gross of Washington, Matt Marino of Bernardsville, Liz Rapelye of South Plainfeld, Alison Mitchell of Mays Landing, Lew Decker of Millington, Ericaa Boyea of South Plainfield, and Ed Faver of Roselle.

Performance dates are: Fridays: March 9, 23 at 8:00pm; Saturdays: March 10, 17, 24, at 8:00pm; and  Sundays: March 18, 25 at 3:00pm. A talkback will be held following the Sunday, March 18 performance. Audiences are invited to join in a special wine and cheese reception in the theater lobby following the opening night performance.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $17 for students and seniors.

The theater is located at 416 Victoria Avenue, Piscataway. Please be advised: due to the unique layout of this theater in the round, latecomers cannot be seated after the performance has started. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before curtain.
