(PISCATAWAY, NJ) -- Circle Players presents Outside Mullingar as the final production of their 2016-2017 65th Anniversary Season. Written by John Patrick Shanley, the author of Doubt and Moonstruck, the play is full of dark humor and poetic prose. In rural Ireland, two clueless, lovelorn farmers must overcome a bitter land feud, familial rivalries, and their own romantic fears to find happiness.
Performances of the play will take place as follows: Fridays: June 9, 23 at 8:00pm; Saturdays: June 10, 17, 24, at 8:00pm; and Sundays: June 18, 25 at 3:00pm. A talkback will be held following the Sunday, - June 18th performance.
The play will be directed by Ed Faver of Roselle and produced by JD Robinson of Highland Park. The cast includes John Thompson of Piscataway as Anthony; Dawn Lanoue of Metuchen as Rosemary; Fred Dennehy of Cranbury as Tony; and Alma Simackowicz of Ocean Grove as Aoife.
Audiences are invited to join in a special wine and cheese reception in the theater lobby following the opening night performance.
The theater is located at 416 Victoria Avenue, Piscataway. Please be advised: due to the unique layout of this theater in the round, latecomers cannot be seated after the performance has started. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before curtain.
