(ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- Bergen Performing Arts Center (BergenPAC) presents Roger McGuinn part of the Kundert Volvo Concert Series on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 8:00pm.  As the founder of The Byrds, Roger McGuinn is firmly established as an indisputable industry icon. From his signature 12 string Rickenbacker sound, to his instantly recognizable vocals on hits like “Turn,Turn,Turn,” “Eight Miles High,” and “Mr. Tambourine Man,” McGuinn didn’t just make music; he made history.

That feeling continues today as Roger offers shows that are as mesmerizing and magical as ever. He delivers the gift of an evening with a master that is as intimate as it is spellbinding. He guides his audience along a journey of story and song populated by the “old friends” they expect to hear, as well as some new acquaintances from the folk music that Roger so passionately embraces. An evening with Roger McGuinn is an event the audience will cherish forever.

McGuinn, a Chicago native, studied at the Old Town School of Folk Music and was active on Chicago's folk scene, where he was strongly influenced as a teenager by Bob Gibson. In 1965, he signed with Columbia Records with his newly created group “The Byrds” with Gene Clark, David Crosby, conga player Michael Clarke and mandolin player Chris Hillman on bass guitar and they recorded their first number one hit, "Mr. Tambourine Man."

Since then, McGuinn has recorded over a dozen critically acclaimed albums both solo and in groups. His “Treasures From The Fold Den” was nominated for a Grammy in 2002 in the category of "Best Traditional Folk Album."

(POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ) -- There will be a fundraiser for Eric Barney aka Teddy B. on Friday, May 10, 2024 at Martell's Tiki Bar with entertainment by The Motor City Revue, Carlton J. Smith, High in the Mid 80's and MC Johnny Mac.  The event runs from 7:00pm to 11:00pm and is for 21 and over. If you cannot make the show but wish to help, a GoFund campaign has been set up for Teddy B. as well.
