(WOODBRIDGE, NJ) --The Avenel Performing Arts Center (APAC), a new multi-disciplinary performing arts center located in Woodbridge, New Jersey, presents Broadway’s Analisa Leaming on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 2:00pm. Broadway’s rising star sings many of the beloved Broadway classics in an intimate, yet powerful concert filled with show tunes from the golden age to current hits.
Often referred to as a “young Julie Andrews,” Leaming dazzles audiences with her soaring soprano in one moment and her quirky, zany personality in the next. Leaming will reprise songs straight from her recent Broadway performances including “Hello, Young Lovers” from The King and I at Lincoln Center and “Ribbons Down My Back” from the Broadway revival of Hello, Dolly!
After a successful run as Principal Rosalie Mullins in Broadway’s School of Rock, Analisa Leaming hit the road as Irene Molloy in the national tour of the 2017 Tony Award-winning revival of Hello, Dolly! In 2015, Analisa made her Broadway début as Anita in the revival of On the Twentieth Century alongside Kristin Chenoweth and Peter Gallagher. She went on to make her Lincoln Center début taking over the role of Anna in the Broadway revival of The King and I and performed in the 2017 revival of Hello, Dolly! as Irene Molloy for select performances alongside Bette Midler. Recent concert engagements include Step into the Light at the Sheen Center and Musicals in May in Pueblo, CO. Off-Broadway credits include: Angharad in A Time for Singing with The York Theatre Company, Millicent Henderson in Rodger and Hammerstein’s Pipe Dream and Gossip Girl in Where’s Charley? at NY City Center Encores!
Tickets for ‘Analisa Leaming in Concert’ are $29.50. Tickets for Seniors (age 65+) and Active Military are $26.50.
