(ASBURY PARK, NJ) — Albert Lee and Cindy Cashdollar headline a night at Tim McLoone’s Supper Club on Monday, August 3 at 7:30pm. Opening the night will be the Billy Hector Band. Tickets range from $25-$45.
Albert Lee, known as Mr. Telecaster, is “the guitar player’s guitar player,” universally recognized in music circles as one of the world’s finest. Eric Clapton calls him "the ultimate virtuoso", adding "his skill is extraordinary, his ear is extraordinary and he’s gifted on just about every level. When he gets into his stride, I can’t even keep up with him”. Lee has not only worked with some of the biggest names in music, including Mr. Clapton as well as Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris and the Everly Brothers, but has also maintained a solo career of his own.
Cindy Cashdollar, Dobro and steel string virtuoso, has also worked with notable names such as Ryan Adams, BOB DYLAN, Van Morrison, Rod Stewart and more. She received five Grammy awards while playing with Asleep at the Wheel. Cindy’s unerring ability to perfectly complement a song or step out with an imaginative solo has made her one of the most in-demand musicians on the American roots music scene.
Billy Hector is a blues guitarist and singer-songwriter from Orange, NJ who considers himself a workingman’s musician. Hector was initially lured into the music world after seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. He says it changed his world. He soon found himself drawn to the blues. Hector started taking guitar lessons at age 9, and later studied jazz guitar and music history at William Patterson University. Hector started playing regularly in a blues band in 1985. Hector has been producing albums for over 20 years while performing primarily in small clubs. Hector’s guitar style is a combination of Jersey Shore blues and rock n roll. As of 2013, his band consisted of Hector on guitar and vocals, Timmy Tindall on bass, and Dan Hickey on drums.
