
(HOBOKEN, NJ) -- As Mile Square Theatre prepares for its first season in its new facility at the Artisan in Hoboken, the non-profit professional theatre has announced staffing changes.
The position of Associate Artistic Director will be assumed by Mark Cirnigliaro, who has worked for the company for years. Mr. Cirnigliaro directed MST’s 2014 production of Cyrano and now takes on many day-to-day duties. Matthew Lawler, who has held the position of Associate Artistic Director since 2009, moves to Associate Artistic Producer. Mr. Lawler, who can be seen in the major recurring role of Agent Gabe Clements in the upcoming ABC prime time series The Family, will continue to work on many MST projects as a producer and artist and remains very involved in patron and audience development, as well as education initiatives.
Joseph Gallo, a long-standing MST associate, is now MST’s Playwright-in-Residence. Mr. Gallo will lead play development initiatives, and the company is committed to developing his work, which includes a premiere of his newest play Long Gone Daddy in August 2016.
