Brook Arts Center Shows For December 2021

originally published: 11/17/2021

(BOUND BROOK, NJ) -- The Brook Arts Center closes out its 2021 season with four of the most sought-after tribute bands hailing from the Garden State. Each of these talented bands pay tribute to the legendary artists with spot on accuracy and attention to detail. They will not settle for anything less than complete authenticity and will deliver the unmistakable live sounds of the original artists.  Shows include Motor City Revue's Motown Holiday Edition, Almost U2, Ronstadt Revue, and The Closet Carpenters.

Motor City Revue’s Motown Holiday Edition on Friday, December 3. Layonne Holmes and her 13-piece band cover the popular and rare Motown and Stax hits, plus rock and soul classics. Although there are many bands that cover Motown tunes, few strive to match the vocal harmonies and instrumental mix that distinguished the original recordings.

ALMOST U2 performs the music spanning U2’s entire music catalog on December 4. Their renditions of legendary U2 live performances honor the band and equating the experience of a real U2 concert.  U2 fans… this will be a show you will never forget. Featuring: John Garofalo: Lead Vocals, Scott Softy: Guitar, Keyboards, John Spero: Percussion and Doug Tiedemann.

Ronstadt Revue, takes the stage on Sunday, December 5. Gifted vocalist Gesenia and her band cover every style of music that Linda Ronstadt performed during her illustrious 40+ year career. Gesenia not only has the look, tone, and vocal strength of Linda Ronstadt, she grew up in a bilingual household, singing both Spanish and English songs since her earliest days.

The Closet Carpenters returns to the Brook on Saturday, December 11. Singers Jody and Joh Lisa and members of Lost in Place, 9 South and STARMAN: The Bowie Tribute take you back to “Yesterday” as they perform all the Carpenter’s hits, deep cuts, and the Christmas songs that Karen and Richard Carpenter were known and loved for.
