originally published: 03/22/2021

(NEWARK, NJ) -- Individual artists that reside in Newark, New Jersey and whose livelihood has been negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic are encouraged to apply for a Newark Arts Emergency Grant.

The Newark Arts Emergency Grant, made possible via funding from the New Jersey Arts and Culture Recovery Fund, is a need-based mini-grant in the amount of $1,000.00. The grant is intended to provide financial support to individual artists as they continue to create music, dance, theatre, film, visual and literary art projects.

We’re grateful to the New Jersey Arts and Culture Recovery Fund for providing the resources for this initiative,” said Jeremy Johnson, Executive Director, Newark Arts.

The application can be accessed at newarkarts.org/emergencyfund from March 22, 2021 through April 9, 2021 at 11:59pm.
