(AVENEL, NJ) -- On Thursday, February 25, 2021, the Avenel Performing Arts Center will be hosting two masterclass/auditions in the genre of contemporary ballet and offering two $64,000.00 Dance Merit Scholarships to study at La Roche University in Pittsburgh. They will also be offering two $1,000.00 Scholarships for Bodiography's 2021 Six Week Summer Dance Intensive. Dancers residing in New Jersey will audition from 4:00pm-5:30pm and dancers residing in New York will audition from 6:00pm-7:30pm.
For their in-person experience, on the stage of the Avenel Performing Arts Center, they will adhere to strict COVID protocols and social distancing requirements, and all artists will be COVID tested producing a negative result. They will be reviewing dancers by region.
Dancers residing in New Jersey will have class from 4:00pm-5:30pm and dancers residing in New York will work from 6:00pm-7:30pm.
They are reaching out to dance schools in the region to invite interested students, who are juniors and seniors in high school, to register for the auditions to ensure that we can safely accommodate everyone. If your student is interested in participating in the audition class, please register online. The 90-minute class will include ballet and contemporary dance.

Dancing In The Park to Take Place July 15th

In its third iteration, Dancing in the Park offers the public a free outdoor professional modern dance concert. This year’s event features dance created by Sarah Liebau, Morgaine de Leonardis, Kat Reese, Rosalia Saver, Amber Sloan, Diana Uribe, Mamiko Usuda, and Meagan Woods.
Derek Hough Symphony of Dance: Encore Tour comes to New Jersey
(MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Following the sold-out successes of Derek Hough Symphony of Dance, Derek Hough Dance for the Holidays, and Derek Hough Live: The Tour, Derek Hough returns with an innovative and exciting dance experience for 2026 – Derek Hough Symphony of Dance: Encore. The tour comes to New Jersey for performances July 18, 2026 at Circus Maximus Theater at Caesars Atlantic City; and July 21-22, 2026 at Mayo Performing Arts Center (MPAC) in Morristown.
New Jersey Ballet presents Icons of American Ballet at New Brunswick Performing Arts Center
(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- New Jersey Ballet returns to New Brunswick Performing Arts Center with Icons of American Ballet, a vibrant program celebrating groundbreaking choreographers who have shaped the identity of American dance. Performances will take place Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 2:00pm & Sunday, March 29, 2026 at 2:00pm.
