(PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- The Plainfield Arts Council and the duCret School of Art have announced a series of seven outdoor concerts to be held on Saturday evenings on the front lawn of the duCret School of Art, 1030 Central Avenue in Plainfield, with musicians performing on the newly renovated front porch of the historic duCret mansion.
“Plainfield is home to a vibrant arts community, and we’ve all missed the opportunity to be together at in-person events as we’ve sheltered in place,” said Arne Aakre, president of the Plainfield Arts Council. “These outdoor concerts featuring performing artists from Plainfield or with strong Plainfield ties offer the chance to support local artists while following Covid safety guidelines.”
Admission to each concert is $20 and must be purchased in advance. A series ticket for $125 is available by mail only before August 22. Series tickets must be purchased by mail, with a check made payable to Plainfield Arts Council, mailed to duCret School of Art, 1030 Central Avenue, Plainfield, NJ, 07060.
Patrons must bring their own seating and locations will be identified that offer safe social distancing. All attendees must wear masks. Tickets must be purchased in advance on the Arts Council website at www.ducret.edu/newevents. No tickets will be sold at the door – advance purchase only.
The series kicks off on Saturday, August 22. All concerts begin at 5:00pm. Scroll down for the calendar of shows.
