Inside The 2019 Princeton Festival

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- The 2019 Princeton Festival, which runs June 7-30, will include 22 performances of 9 events.  Highlights include John Adam's opera, Nixon In China; the Princeton debut of Grammy-nominated jazz vocalist Jazzmeia Horn; She Loves Me - a charming musical by the team that created Fiddler On The Roof; performances by Internationally known pianist Rachel Cheung, Concordia Chamber Players, and the Baroque Orchestra.  Tickets are on sale for all events now.

Simone Dinnerstein To Join NJSO for Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23

(NEWARK, NJ) -- The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra welcomes Simone Dinnerstein back to NJSO stages for performances of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 on a program that also includes the composer’s Symphony No. 40, April 25–28. Music Director Xian Zhang conducts the concerts, which open with Walton’s Suite No. 2 from Façade.


Tommy Castro & The Painkillers To Celebrate CD Release In NY and NJ

(TEANECK, NJ) -- Tommy Castro & The Painkillers will celebrate the release of their new Alligator Records album, Killin' It Live, with performances at The Loft at City Winery in New York on Tuesday, April 9 and the Debonair Music Hall in Teaneck on Wednesday, April 10, 2019. Killin' It Live is a nonstop, spirited mix of blues, rock and soul, with rollicking, hypnotic grooves fueled by Castro's fervent vocals and the band's muscular musicianship.


The Beach Boys to Headline 37th Annual QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning

(READINGTON, NJ)  -- As The Beach Boys mark more than half a century of making music, the group continues to ride the crest of a wave unequalled in America’s musical history. The band has become synonymous with the California lifestyle and have become an American icon to fans around the world. They’ll headline the 37th annual QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning in Association with PNC Bank on Sunday, July 28 in association with Q104.3.


State Theatre Presents Indigo Girls

(NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents Indigo Girls on Tuesday, March 26 at 8:00pm.  The Grammy Award®-winning folk rock duo Amy Ray and Emily Saliers have been making great records since their self-titled debut in 1989.  Amythyst Kiah will open the night. Tickets range from $39-$99.

Piff the Magic Dragon To Perform At The Newton Theatre On May 11

(NEWTON, NJ) -- Piff the Magic Dragon was the stand out star of NBC’s America's Got Talent and Penn & Teller: Fool Us. Agitate! The Legacy of Frederick Douglass and Abolition in Newark

(NEWARK, NJ) -- To commemorate the revered 19th century civil rights pioneer Frederick Douglass’s visit to Newark 170 years ago, Rutgers University–Newark (RU-N) will celebrate the life and legacy of Douglass at the on-campus site that now bears his name, Frederick Douglass Field (at University Avenue and Warren Street), on Wednesday, April 17 at 2:30pm. In addition to honoring Douglass, “Agitate! The Legacy of Frederick Douglass and Abolition in Newark” will acknowledge the nearby underground railroad stop and the vibrant abolitionist community in Newark at the time. The event will culminate with a reception at the Paul Robeson Campus Center at 350 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in Newark.
