Asbury Music Releases First New Music Playlist of 2019

Published by New Jersey Stage

In addition to publishing a monthly digital magazine and running a daily website, New Jersey Stage also runs the online radio station AsburyMusic.com.  As with the magazine and website, New Jersey artists are a big part of the station, but the station goes beyond the Garden State to include artists from around the world.  The playlist includes a mix of Jersey Artists, Americana, Classic Rock, Covers, and 80s Rock to create a station unlike any other.

"Asbury Music uses New Jersey artists as a central component, but we expand from there," explained Gary Wien, station manager.  "We believe that spinning a local artist next to artists around the world - whether independent artists or nationally known artists - gives the local artist a bigger platform.   We don't even make a big deal about playing locals, we just do it.  Our hope is that listeners simply enjoy the music and don't realize if someone is local or not."

Locals do take center stage every Monday through Friday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm when Lee Mrowicki (the long-time "Voice of The Stone Pony") broadcasts his "Radio Jersey" show.  Lee's show is all about the Garden State with New Jersey artists and plenty of guests giving you news and stories.

Asbury Music may be heard around the world at www.AsburyMusic.com or via the Tune In app on your smartphone.  Artists who wish to have songs considered for airplay may email mp3s to [email protected]

"Each new music playlist contains songs submitted to the station as well as music discovered on various websites," added Wien. "As we like to say, we don't follow the charts... we make our own."
