originally published: 03/22/2017

(NEWARK, NJ) -- You may have seen Young Frankenstein a hundred times, but you've never seen the film until you've watched it with Mel Brooks. Back by popular demand, New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents Young Frankenstein with Mel Brooks on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 3:00pm in Prudential Hall. The King of Comedy returns to NJPAC to accompany a full-length showing of the film on the big screen and to provide many hilarious stories.

Join America’s funniest film director at a screening of his 1974 comedy classic, Young Frankenstein, starring Gene Wilder as brilliant surgeon Frederick Frankenstein (“it’s pronounced ‘Fronkensteen’”), Marty Feldman as Igor (“it’s pronounced ‘Eye-gor’”), Madeline Kahn, Gene Hackman, Peter Boyle, Teri Garr and Cloris Leachman. The showing is followed by an appearance by Brooks himself on the Prudential Hall stage.

Young Frankenstein with Mel Brooks: It’s more fun than a “roll, roll in ze hay!”

New Jersey Performing Arts Center is located at One Center Street in Newark, NJ.
