(BLOOMFIELD, NJ) --  Jersey Tap Fest, NJ's sole dance festival featuring world-class tap faculty and extravaganza, celebrates its eighth year, August 10-13, in East Hanover and Bloomfield, NJ. The expanding 4-day festival is moving to the home of Nicole’s Broadway Dance Company, with a full menu of nearly 60 beginner, intermediate and advanced classes in tap, improvisation, stepping, lindy hop, music theory, and more. ... (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Princeton Ballet School, the official school of American Repertory Ballet, New Jersey’s premier professional ballet company, will host an Open House from 1:00pm-5:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at its new location in downtown New Brunswick. Prospective students (children and adults) will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sample classes, including Ballet, Jazz, Theatre Dance, Hand in Hand, CardioBallet and Zumba. This event will also include door prizes and refreshments. Classes will be led by the professional staff of the New Brunswick studio. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- In an email letter sent on May 18, Samuel Pott, Artistic Director for Nimbus Dance Works reached out to fans of the arts for help. His company is losing their studio space at the end of August. While that obviously weighs heavily on Sam's mind, the rise and affect of gentrification in Jersey City does too. Sam has had a front row seat to watch the arts help revitalize many parts of the city. Unfortunately, arts history has a way of repeating. Virtually every city that rebounds due to the arts eventually loses much of the arts due to higher rents and the loss of spaces for art usage. And that appears to be where Jersey City is heading.... (NEW YORK, NY) -- AOMDT Artistic Director, Lynn Needle will be featured as part of the 92nd Street Y DIG DANCE Series curated by Catherine Tharin honoring 30 years of Friday’s at Noon (FAN) 1987-2017. Needle was one of the first choreographers to be featured in the FAN Series in 1987.
