White Eagle Hall Presents Max Weinberg's Jukebox On October 18

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Max Weinberg’s Jukebox not only takes audience requests, but encourages them. Weinberg, one of the most recognizable drummers in New Jersey musical history, brings his new project to one of the most exciting new venues in the state - White Eagle Hall in Jersey City - on Wednesday, October 18. Tickets range from $39.50 to $184.50.

Max Weinberg’s Jukebox – which debuted in July with back-to-back sold out shows at City Winery in NYC  – is a truly interactive experience.  Weinberg (the long-time drummer for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band) invites the audience to create in real-time the set list he and his crack four piece group plays. Audience members select from a video menu of more than 200 songs – everything from the Beatles to the Stones to Bruce & The E Street Band’s biggest hits – and Max and the band then plays your request!

Weinberg, the driving rhythmic force propelling The E Street Band for 43 years, is also known to millions of fans for his 17-year stint as the bandleader and comedic foil to talk show host Conan O’Brien. He is the only musician in history to make the leap from a starring role in one of the world’s iconic rock groups to leading his eponymous band on NBC’s Late Night and The Tonight Show. Throughout his 50 year professional career Weinberg has played with some of the biggest and most diverse names in music: James Brown, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, BB King, Tony Bennett, Ringo Starr, John Fogerty, Stevie Winwood, Sheryl Crow and Isaac Hayes.

In 2009 Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band performed the halftime show at Super Bowl 43 to the largest audience ever recorded for that event—over 100 million. Weinberg also has the distinction of being the drummer on the two biggest selling rock albums in history—Bruce Springsteen’s Born In The USA and Meatloaf’s Bat Out Of Hell.

Originally constructed in 1910, the newly restored White Eagle Hall is an impressive new venue for arts and entertainment, including concerts, theater, performances and other events in the New York/New Jersey Metropolitan area. White Eagle Hall features complete Food & Beverage service, with two bars on the mezzanine level and one on the balcony level. The restoration enhanced the intimacy and charm of this historic venue while adding the latest in sound and lighting technology, creating a distinctive and memorable audience experience.
