Smokey Robinson To Perform At Tropicana

(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- Iconic singer, songwriter and producer, Smokey Robinson, will bring his award-winning falsetto to the Tropicana  Showroom at Tropicana Atlantic City on Friday, August 25, 2017.  Show time is 9:00pm.  Doors open at 8:00pm. Tickets range from $55 - $105.

As one of the most beloved entertainers of all time, Robinson has over 35 Top 40 hits, including “Shop Around” which was the first Motown #1 R&B hit and the first Motown million-seller.  In addition to writing hits for The Miracles, Robinson wrote and produced hits for other Motown greats including The Temptations, Mary Wells, Brenda Holloway, Marvin Gaye and others. “The Way You Do the Things You Do,” “My Girl,” “Get Ready,” “You Beat Me to the Punch,” “Don’t Mess with Bill,” “Ain’t That Peculiar,” and “My Guy” are just a few of his songwriting triumphs during those years.

With one of the music industry’s most recognizable voices, Robinson has accumulated more than 4,000 songs to his credit and continues to thrill sold out audiences around the world with his high tenor voice, impeccable timing, and profound sense of lyrics. Along the way, Robinson has won a Grammy for “Just to See Her,” a Grammy Living Legend award, inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame, NARAS Lifetime Achievement Award, a Kennedy Center honoree and the National Medal of Arts award from the President of the United States.

The New Jersey Clearwater Festival to Return to Asbury Park Labor Day Weekend

(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- The New Jersey Friends of Clearwater (NJFC) has announced that they are returning to Asbury Park on Labor Day Weekend August 31 and September 1, 2024 for their 49th Annual NJ Clearwater Festival. The celebration of the environment with music, song and information about how to protect it is the state's largest eco-festival. Hours are 1:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday and 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Sunday.
