(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Larry Campbell and his wife and musical partner, Teresa Williams will be performing at The Saint in Asbury Park on Friday, December 9th. Both Larry & Teresa were a vital part of the late Levon Helm’s Midnight Rambles, with Campbell winning three Grammys for his production work with Helm. The couple’s impeccable harmonies and song craft have brought them accolades as they step into the spotlight for the first time in their careers. Doors 7:30pm and admission is $20 in advance, $25 day of show.
Their self-titled Red House Records debut has received praise from the Wall Street Journal (“a powerhouse country, blues, gospel and honky-tonk singer [meets] a maestro of Southern roots music), the New Yorker (“astonishing”), Associated Press (“full of delightful duets”), Mojo (“the first couple of Americana…we’re in the presence of pros”), Rolling Stone, and many others. Between them, they’ve also played with Paul Simon, Mavis Staples, BB King, Elvis Costello, The Dead, Roseanne Cash, and were hand-picked by Jackson Browne as the support act for his 3-month fall 2015 US tour. Larry also spend eight years before that as Bob Dylan’s guitarist (Rolling Stone called Larry’s 8-year tenure “the greatest period of the 'Never Ending Tour'"). All Music writes "44 minutes of roots music gold. American roots fans take note, this album will still sound as fresh and bracing in a decade as it does now."
The Saint is located at 601 Main Street in Asbury Park, NJ.
