(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- The internationally-renowned vocalist/pianist Champian Fulton makes her Grunin Center debut performing songs off of her critically-acclaimed albums After Dark (a tribute to Dinah Washington) and Speechless on Tuesday, September 19 at 8:00pm.
A mainstay on the vibrant New York Jazz scene, Fulton has performed with musical royalty such as Lou Donaldson, Frank Wess, Eric Alexander, Buster Williams, and Louis Hayes. From New York to Barcelona, Fulton’s swinging style and charismatic performances have made her a guardian of the legacy of Jazz. For this performance, Fulton’s quartet will feature Stephen Fulton on fluegelhorn, Dor Samoha on bass, and Fuku Tainaka on drums. Come hear why jazz writer Mark Stryker called her, “The most gifted pure jazz singer of her generation.”
