(TOMS RIVER, NJ) -- Exit 82 Theatre Company presents Head Over Heels weekends from July 12 through August 4th. This is a bold new musical comedy from the visionaries that rocked Broadway with Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Avenue Q, and Spring Awakening. The musical is a hilarious, exuberant celebration of love that follows the escapades of a royal family on an outrageous journey to save their beloved kingdom from extinction—only to discover the key to their realm’s survival lies within each of their own hearts.

Head Over Heels is a laugh-out-loud love story is set to the music of the iconic 1980’s all-female rock band The Go-Go’s, including the hit songs, “We Got the Beat,” “Our Lips Are Sealed,” “Vacation,” Belinda Carlisle’s “Heaven is a Place on Earth” and “Mad About You.” 

Performances are Fridays at 8:00pm; Saturdays at 2:00pm and 8:00pm; and Sundays at 2:00pm.  There will also be a performance on Thursday, August 1st at 7:00pm. All performances take place in the Exit 82 Studio Theater located at 73 Main Street, 2nd Floor in Toms River, New Jersey.  Tickets are available for purchase online.  

The show made its world premiere at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon on June 3, 2015. It began previews at the Hudson Theatre on June 23, 2018 and officially opened on Broadway on July 26, 2018. The show closed on January 6, 2019, after 36 previews and 164 performances.
