Eagle Theatre Presents "Dogfight"

originally published: 11/07/2019

(HAMMONTON, NJ) -- Compassion takes center stage in Eagle Theatre’s upcoming production of Dogfight, running November 15th – December 8th, 2019. This hauntingly beautiful musical, based on 1991 Warner Brothers film, is packed with an unstoppable pop score by Pasek and Paul (The Greatest Showman, Dear Evan Hansen), an unexpected love affair, and a genuine and charming message that takes audiences to new heights.

On November 21, 1963, on the eve of their deployment to a small but growing conflict in Southeast Asia, three young Marines set out for one final boys’ night of debauchery, partying, and maybe a little bit of trouble. But, when Corporal Eddie Birdlace meets Rose, an awkward and idealistic waitress whom he enlists to win a cruel bet with his fellow recruits, she rewrites the rules of the game and teaches him the power of love and compassion.

In 2013, Dogfight, went on to win two Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Musical and Outstanding Choreography.

Dogfight opens November 15th and runs through December 8th. Dogfight is recommended for ages 16+ due to adult language and themes. For more information, please visit www.eagletheatre.org or call 609-704-5012.

Eagle Theatre is located at 208 Vine Street in Hammonton, New Jersey.

These fun and informative discussions feature the director, and cast of the production fielding questions and comments from audience members.

A Please Touch Performance for Dogfight will take place on Thursday, December 5.  A Please Touch Performance allows patrons, through the guidance of our staff, the opportunity to walk on stage, touch props, scenery and gain a new perspective on what it takes to create theatre magic.
