(PISCATAWAY, NJ) -- Circle Players presents Clybourne Park - the fifth production of their 2016-2017 65th Anniversary Season. The play is written by Bruce Norris and directed by Kirk White of Westfield, NJ. Winner of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 2012 Tony Award for Best Play, Clybourne Park spans two generations fifty years apart and borrows a plot line from Lorraine Hansberry’s classic ‘A Raisin in the Sun’ to examine issues of race, class, and society festering under the floorboards of one particular Chicago home.
Performances of the play will take place: Fridays: May 5th, 19th, at 8:00pm; Saturdays: May 6th, 13th, 20th, at 8:00pm; and Sundays: May 14th, 21st, at 3:00pm. A talkback will be held following the Sunday, May 14 performance.
The cast includes: Jonathan Wierzbicki of Ringoes, NJ, as Russ/Dan; Robyn Mandalakis of Somerset, NJ, as Bev/Kathy; Toni Kwadzogah of Somerset, NJ, as Francine/Lena; Steve Yates of Millburn, NJ, as Jim/Tom/Kenneth; Malik Abdul Khaaliq of King of Prussia, PA, as Albert/Kevin; Michael Stratton of Union City, NJ, as Karl/Steve; and Adriana Spizuoco of Millburn, NJ, as Betsy/Lindsey.
Audiences are invited to join in a special wine and cheese reception in the theater lobby following the opening night performance.
