Bay Atlantic Symphony Holds Concerts at Landis Theater and Stockton University

(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- The Bay Atlantic Symphony will perform two familiar and iconic masterpieces by Copland and Vivaldi at their next subscription series concerts at the historic Landis Theater, 830 Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ, on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at 8:00pm, and at Stockton University’s Performing Arts Center, 101 Vera King Farris Dr., Galloway Township, NJ, on Sunday, January 22, at 2:00pm.

Both performances, conducted by Music Director Jed Gaylin, will be preceded one hour prior to starting time with a “Pre-Concert Conversation with the Maestro.” The Symphony’s pre-concert lectures are free and open to the public.

All tickets are just $30 per concert (plus service charges), which is made possible by the generous support of Woodruff Energy and PNC Arts Alive. Group and student rates are also available.

Copland’s Appalachian Spring, his most famous masterwork, was his homage to Appalachia. It was written for Martha Graham and has been a beloved favorite in the concert hall and on the ballet stage.  Vivaldi’s
Le Quattro Stagioni (also known as The Four Seasons)—his famous set of four violin concerti that epitomizes the Italian influence in early classical music—will feature the Bay Atlantic Symphony’s co-concertmaster, Jorge Ávila.

These concerts are made possible through funding from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.

For tickets at the Landis Theater, please call 866-811-4111. For tickets at Stockton University, please call 609-652-9000. To purchase tickets online, please visit the Bay Atlantic Symphony’s website at www.bayatlanticsymphony.org
