Anchor Rock Club Expands Shows During The Week

(ATLANTIC CITY, NJ) -- Anchor Rock Club, the new Atlantic City rock club just steps away from the Boardwalk, has just expanded its monthly schedule. Starting in November, ARC is now feature local bands and local radio DJs every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday of the week.

Now open at New York Ave and the Boardwalk — in the heart of AC's buzzworthy "Orange Loop"— The Anchor Rock Club is a 21+ venue that's putting on live entertainment year-round by featuring the best local, regional, and national talent. The 650-capacity club (soon to expand) is the project of two partners who come to AC by way of South Philly — Dennis Hewlett, of Pub On Passyunk East (P.O.P.E) and Bardot, and John Longacre, of South Philly Taproom and American Sardine Bar. Collectively, Hewlett and Longacre's spots helped to re-invigorate long-dormant neighborhoods, and with the Anchor Rock Club, they're looking to do something similar.

Anchor also boasts a full state-of-the-art sound system, staging and lighting. And given Hewlett and Longacre's background, the ARC drinks program is robust: The club features four bars, two downstairs and two upstairs (where you can also see recently unearthed mural work dating back to the club's mysterious 20th Century era as a burlesque hall). The bars feature a rotating 10-tap draft system of all craft and local beers, with a different featured cocktail on tap each week, such as the current Old Fashioned, using Atlantic City's own Little Water Distilling Co.'s Whitecap whiskey, as well as a growing selection of spirits and cans on special.

The current schedule is as follows:

TUESDAYS - Quasimodo's Bride Residency - 9:00pm - 11:00pm.  Quasimodo's Bride is an original rock band from AC. They will be playing a mix of their original material and some covers, as well as bringing a different special guest opener each week.
