A Hoboken Tale the Musical Returns for it’s 5th Annual production(HOBOKEN, NJ) -- Garden Street School of the Performing Arts presents A Hoboken Tale, the Musical for its 5th season. Local resident Dan McLoughlin who has been a resident and business owner in Hoboken for over a decade wrote this original musical. All of the characters, songs and story are based on real Hoboken folks, stories and the Christmas Season. It's a show that families love to go see and is part of their holiday tradition.

“I hope everyone can come out and see the magic for themselves,” said Mayor Dawn Zimmer. “I thoroughly enjoyed seeing this show last year. We are very fortunate to have such outstanding talent to highlight Hoboken with an inspiring message about community and the importance of all the mom and pop stores we all love in town.”

Members of the Garden Street Children’s Musical Theater Company aged 7-15 have been rehearsing the production under the direction of Mari Linder for 14 weeks.

Performances will take place at Hopes Stage at 301 Garden Street in Hoboken on December 16th at 8:00pm and December 17th at 4:00pm and 8:00pm. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children with general admission seating. For tickets please call 201-683-9100 or email dance@gardenstreetmusic.com.

A Hoboken Tale is a holiday musical set in Hoboken that reminds us of the spirit of giving and supporting our community during the holidays and always.

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- Jersey City Theater Center (JCTC) presents Cabaret in Captivity, a poignant and thought-provoking theatrical experience on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 9:00pm. Conceived by Edward Einhorn and developed and directed by Einhorn and Jenny Lee Mitchell, Cabaret in Captivity brings to life songs and sketches written in Terezín/Theresienstadt, the Nazi concentration camp in Czechoslovakia. Full of satire, bitter humor, and hope, these pieces serve as a testament to how art became a vital survival technique for the inmates during one of history's darkest chapters.
