Nutley Little Theatre will open a special holiday spoof, “Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)” on Friday, Dec. 11, 8 p.m. at the NLT Barn, 47 Erie Place, Nutley. The show will run for two weekends only. The production is a fundraiser for Nutley Little Theatre -- a wild, wacky and fast-paced romp with three actors - as the title says - doing all of your favorite Christmas stories: A Christmas Carol, Rudolph, the Grinch, Frosty, It's a Wonderful Life - and more! A wonderful holiday escapade for the Yuletide season. But please know that the show is a holiday spoof, and not intended for children who still believe in Santa Claus. (Seriously, it’s not.)
Evening performances are Dec. 11, 12, 18 and 19, all with an 8 p.m. curtain. A 2 p.m. matinee will be performed on Sunday, Dec. 13.
Written by Michael Carleton, Jim Fitzgerald and John K. Alveraz, the show is produced by the creative team from last season’s “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare.” The director is Alex Oleksij of Nutley, and the show’s cast includes Luke Franklin of Glen Ridge, Alex Thompson of Fair Lawn and Nelson Valentin of Bloomfield. Janis Wolfe of Nutley is stage manager, and Marion Brady of Little Falls is costumer. Linda Ribaudo of Bloomfield handles props and costumes, and Vicky Chalk of Nutley is a dresser.
