(NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents an evening with American Songbook – a words-and-music series co-presented by NJPAC and NJTV – returns for a third season. Join theater insider and host Ted Chapin as he chats with the country’s best-loved Broadway and cabaret artists following their performances in the intimate Victoria Theater, October 25 & 26, 2015 7:00 PM. Tickets range from $39-$49.
An exciting offshoot of NJPAC’s success as a broadcast venue, these sessions are taped before a live audience for future broadcast on NJTV, WNET and WLIW21. Artists to be announced – in the past, American Songbook at NJPAC has hosted Valerie Simpson, Maude Maggart, Marilyn Maye, John Pizzarelli, Nellie McKay and Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman.
Each musical guest will perform for about 40 minutes, then have a short interview with Chapin, the President of Rodgers & Hammerstein: An Imagem Company.
