(TOTOWA, NJ) -- Dramarama returns to North Jersey with a date at Ruby's Lounge in Totowa on Friday, August 14 at 7pm. The Wayne, NJ / Los Angeles alternative rock band will headline a bill that also features Low Cut Connie and Precious Bones. Admission is $18.
Dramarama recorded 7 studio albums including "Cinema Verite'"(1985), "Stuck In Wonderamaland" (1989), "Vinyl" (1991) and "Hi Fi-Sci Fi" (1993) and released a number of singles which include "Last Cigarette", "Anything, Anything", "Haven't Got A Clue" and "Work For Food". The band originally formed in New Jersey in 1982 and disbanded in 1994 however they formally reunited in 2003 following an appearance on VH1's Bands Reunited reality show. Since 1996, an evolving lineup of the band, always fronted by singer/songwriter John Easdale, has been performing in one incarnation or another and from then on played shows in New Jersey and occasionally in Los Angeles and New York City. Dramarama has been touring nationally, and released their first new, full-length studio album since "Hi Fi-Sci Fi", titled "everybody dies", in 2005.
Low Cut Connie is a rock and roll band established in Philadelphia in 2010. Its frontmen and founding members, Adam Weiner (piano), who is from Cherry Hill, New Jersey and Dan Finnemore (drums and guitar), who is from Birmingham, England met and were stuck for four hours in a freight elevator and decided to join forces to create their own brand of righteous rock and roll. Having released 3 albums so far, they have made multiple critics year end Top Ten lists, they are a Rich Russo “Anything, Anything” fave and their song “Boozophilia” was named one of Rolling Stones top 50 songs of 2012.
Precious Bones is a NYC/NJ area alternative rock band that was started in February 2012. Driven by influences of 60's rock n roll mixed with new wave/post-punk and funk, the band created a sound that fuses all their influences whilst still sounding both new and modern.
