(LINCROFT, NJ) -- Musicians throughout Central New Jersey are set to head to Lincroft on Sunday (April 12) for the annual Brookdale Guitar Show. This is the 18th straight year Brookdale Community College has been the site for a day full of live performances, sessions, and shopping that will interest musicians from hobbyists to professionals. Doors open at 10:00am and the event runs until 5:00pm. Tickets are $12 at the door. The Guitar Show serves as one of the most important fundraisers of the year for Brookdale Public Radio (90.5 The Night).
Performances in the music test begin at 10:30am with Cat London followed by Rock N Roll Hifives at 11:30am. The schedule includes Secret Sound (12:30pm), Marc Muller's Hippie Jazz (1:30pm), Fubar (2:00pm), Davy Knowles (3:00pm), and Accidental Seabirds (4:00pm).
In the Twin Lights Room some of the best music students in the area will be showcasing killer riffs. The schedule includes Rockit! (10:30am), Lakehouse Music Academy (12:30pm), and School of Rock (2:30pm).
The Molly Pitcher Room features sessions on industry-related work such as marketing, publishing, and branding. Sessions include "Music Marketing & Branding" with Steve Ceragno and Metal Mike Chlasiak (12:00pm) and "Publishing. Management, What Do They Do For You?" with Brad Hunt, Brian Nelson, and JW Johnson (2:00pm).
The Fort Hancock Room covers sessions on bass, guitar, and guitar maintenance. It kicks off at 10:30am with "It's All About That Bass" a session moderated by Tom Richards that features some of the best bass players in the area including Graham Maby, Jack Daley, Hal B. Selzer and possibly some truly big surprises as well. It's followed at 12:00pm by "How To Be A More Success Guitar Teach" with Chris Buono, Matt O'Ree, Gerry Carboy and more. "Guitar Maintenance And Modifications" with Kyle Roggendorf of Raritan Bay Guitar Repair closes the afternoon at 1:30pm.
The Monmouth Battleground Room is the place for those who love jazz and fusion. Sessions include "The New Art Of Jazz Guitar" with Kevin Hill (10:30am), "Les Paul - From Start To Finish" with Program Director Tim Fazekas (12:30pm), and "The Tools And Craft Of Music And Songwriting" with the St. Chris Trio (3:00pm).
Of course, there's also over 50 vendors displaying guitars and related music items for sale.
